Feast for the Senses: An Evening of Fine Art, Boutique Wines, & Artisan Cheeses

Join Jennie at George's Wine & Spirit Gallery of 7 Main St., Branchville, for its first art opening. "A Feast for the Senses" will be an evening of enjoying fine art and tasting of boutique wines and artisan cheeses. The gallery will display works by Branchville photographer Agnes Rizzo and Newton artist Jennie Traill Schaeffer.
In addition to meeting the artists and viewing their work all attending will meet hosts and proprietors, George and Francis Delgado. George and Francis are both certified sommeliers and will be offering wonderful tastings of artisanal wines and cheeses to accompany the event. Talented local guitarist, Heather Strout, will provide music.
Guest Artist Residency Exhibition
In conjunction with the new Peters Valley Guest Artist Program

The exhibition will highlight the 50 artists who have taken part in the program, which began in 2005. The new program gives artists the opportunity to utilize the studios at Peters Valley while enjoying the pristine landscape and historic structures of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Through the generosity of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, a limited number of scholarships are available through this program to New Jersey residents. Residencies can be as short as one week or as long as two months and artists must undergo an application and selection process.
Jennie will be exhibiting two of her paintings completed during her residency.
Exhibition continues through April 27th, 2008.
