This piece was inspired both by Van Gogh and the Japonisme style style and is a depiction of my mom's (formerly Granny's) egg cooker. It's a fabulous appliance that my mom still uses; she's so attached that I wasn't allowed to borrow it but had to photograph it in order to create the painting.
