Jennie has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming exhibit, "Two Sides To Every Story" with co-exhibitor Martha C. Hall.  Below, is a preview of the painting she is currently working on.  To see the painting in completion you'll have to come to the opening on Saturday, October 9th from 5-8pm. Jennie will also be giving a lecture from 2-2:15 at TraillWorks entitled, "Apron Strings - The Ties That Bind Us To History" as part of Newton Heritage Day.

Jennie has also been working on preliminary sketches for a recent commission, as seen below.  Prices will be increasing in 2011, so if you've had your eye on something in the gallery or are thinking of commissioning Jennie, now's the time!

Brenda Decker Opening and Benefit a HUGE Success!

Our September 11th opening for Brenda Decker and benefit for Ovarian Cancer Awareness went GREAT! TraillWorks saw a fantastic turnout with Jane MacNeil, president of Turn the Towns Teal, Inc. on hand to greet visitors and share information about ovarian cancer. Featured artist, Brenda Decker was on hand, as well as an appearance by jewelry artist, Martha Traill Schaeffer.  We are pleased to announce that though donations and sales during the day, TraillWorks will be donating about $279 to Turn the Towns Teal, Inc. to help in their awareness campaign across the country.

Special thank yous go out to Krave Cafe and Caterers for their tasty and elegant spread, as well as to Frederick Wildman and Sons, Ltd. for the delicious Folonari and Trapiche wines. Both donated their respective offerings for the evening.
