Jewelry artist, Liesl Carlson, soldering in her studio. Solder is a high temperature, melting fusible metal alloy that is used to join metals, in Liesl's work, silver. Much of Liesl's one off, or one of a kind, jewelry involves a hollow form which requires a lot of soldering. Jennie met Liesl over two years ago, when both were pregnant. Their boys, Joel and Quinn, respectively, were born a week apart in 2008.
Liesl is a dedicated mother and artist, discovering how to balance family and work. Her jewelry is very wearable, yet exquisite.
