TraillWorks E-Newsletter

December 11, 2009

Dear subscribers,

First I want to apologize to anyone who may have visited TraillWorks in the past week or so to find us closed. Since Thanksgiving my son got a virus which moved into pneumonia and I was diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency as well as mono. To say the least I am very tired and was unable to be at the studio while juggling Joel and giving myself rest. I've always been one to promote consistency of hours and the importance of being open. However, I have no choice as of now to listen to my body and give myself the needed rest to get over my current conditions. Therefore I'v e decided to close the studio over the holidays. But, before I close, there's still a week and a half until Christmas and eight nights of Hanukkah and so many great gifts and things happening at TraillWorks, so read on. I appreciate your understanding and hope to see you before Christmas and then again in January, refreshed, renewed, and hopefully healthy. Wishing you a Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, and a Happy New Year.

Warmly,

TraillWorks was just noted as a "Favorite Place" on Google! Only 100,000 businesses in the US were selected by Google. Thanks for the recognition. Next time you're at TraillWorks you can scan the bar code on the window decal and learn more about TraillWorks on my Google listing.

*good for purchases made on Saturday, December 12th.

There's so much to do on 2nd Saturday and so many great shops in Newton that there's too much to list in a newsletter. For the details, read the press release on Main Street Newton's home page (scroll to the bottom of the page).

PS - there are two new shops in town . . .  Trimmings and Adiel Co. I have checked them both out and am in love! Trimmings is a chic new boutique catering to youthful fashionistas (like myself) offering everything to dress you almost from head to toe. Adiel is more than a jewelry store; it's a place to escape to and become enamored with ornamental stones. I just purchased something for a gift and can't wait to see the reaction of the recipient. Can't tell anymore! See for yourself.

Congratulations to Brooke May! She is the lucky winner of my recent Facebook Giveaway and will have the opportunity to have her wedding cake topper painted.

Thank you to everyone who became a fan since August. The page now has over 100 fans and an easy to find URL making it simpler to locate Wedding Cake Portraits online. If you haven't been to the page recently check it out soon. Immediately after the holidays I will be posting my latest portrait which has had to remain a secret.
