Dear subscribers,

 

Thank you to all who stopped by during the month of December to say hello, wish my family well or to purchase work. The month, though rough, was a wonderful one at the studio. I completed several commissions for the holidays which I will post on my Facebook page soon and got to know several new customers, and wait until you see some of the work my students recently finished. I know you're probably wondering why I'm not updating my website with all of this info, but currently it is out of the realm of possibility in its current state. So I'm planning a revamp in 2010 of the site and would love your input. Think about what you'd like to see on the TraillWorks' website, post it to my Facebook page, and I'll take it into consideration, since the site is for you as well as me. It is my wish that you and your families have a peaceful and healthy holiday week and a prosperous New Year!

White Workshop

Learn how to paint white, the elusive color of snow, with resident artist, Jennie Traill Schaeffer. In the workshop, Schaeffer will guide students towards an understanding of how to perceive the color white and translate that into a painting study. Students will work with tempera paints to execute a brief study. Examples by Wayne Thiebaud and Wedding Cake Portraits by the artist will be shown.

 

Beginners to advanced students welcome with experience in any painting media. Adults. Registration is required by 1/4/10. Only ten spots available. 3 Students required to run workshop. $50 / person, includes supplies.
