The NEW TraillWorks Web Site is LIVE!
It's been several years in the making. After numerous failed attempts and lost money, I have finally decided to design my own web site using a template editor. Over the past four months, I've spent my studio days while Auggie is with a sitter, and nights when I have energy, completely redesigning traillworks.com. I'm happy to announce that it is live, though there are still pages to add, as well as tweaks and changes.

What's New?
  • Cleaner, more modern design.
  • It's more user-friendly.
  • There's a mobile version.
  • Dedicated pages to my work by categories.
  • Pages for sketches and work-in-progress.
  • Better examples of commission work (still in development).
  • A store! (online place to purchase lessons and smaller works).
  • A blog is now on my web site (though still access archives to the old blog).
  • ARTaments: custom hand-painted ornaments.
In honor of the launch, I'm offering $10 off any order for my new ARTaments, custom hand-painted ornaments. Simply share on Facebook or Twitter with #ARTaments and I'll extend you $10 off your order.

I hope you enjoy exploring the new site! Should you have any trouble accessing anything on the new site, please let me know. I can only check changes on my end. Once I finalize the changes on traillworks.com I'm going to be working in the studio again. Look for news about what's going on in the Studio on the 3rd Floor soon.

Explore ARTaments
Enjoy $10 off your order when you share about #ARTaments.

Valid through 7/15/2014

Use #ARTaments on Twitter or Facebook to share about my new holiday ornaments.
Still Time to Register:
PAINTING THE TEXTURE OF TEA
August 15 - 17 at Peters Valley Craft Center, Layton, NJ

In honor of Tea Week at Peters Valley we will use this storied drink as the subject of our paintings. The trappings of tea make excellent surfaces to explore texture, reflection, color, tone and composition through paint. Beginners will learn to see and simplify the complex shapes created by reflective surfaces and experienced painters will hone their observation, color mixing, and application of paint. We will explore some of the history of tea in art and consider how to create meaningful contemporary paintings featuring the centuries-old beverage. The workshop will be taught in oils without the use of solvents, but students who prefer acrylic will be welcome as well. Due to the lack of proper ventilation, we will use alternative methods of cleaning brushes and a direct painting technique which avoids the use of solvents.
