TraillWorks Newsletter: November Edition

Published: Sat, 11/03/12

Dear ,

We're entering into a month of Thanksgiving and a season of celebrations, following a week of devastation. My family and TraillWorks have much to be grateful for - beyond losing power, we were relatively unscathed by Sandy.

My heart pours out to the people on the Jersey Shore, lower Manhattan, the Rockaways, Long Island, and those all over the northeast, including most of my students, who are still without power or are displaced from their homes. This month at TraillWorks, we had already planned pre-Sandy, to support Project Self Sufficiency's Annual Thanksgiving and Toy Drives by collecting food and toys at our upcoming reception and throughout the months of November and December. We will go forward with these drives, as many people affected by Sandy locally may be in need of these gestures. For details about how to help, read more below.

Throughout the coming days if you are still without power, you are welcome at TraillWorks to recharge electronics, use our wifi, have a cup of coffee, and warm up. Our hours are posted on traillworks.com.

And, to bring something joyful to your inbox, if you haven't already learned via Facebook, I am expecting! I am about 13 weeks prego and looking forward to giving Joel a sibling in early May. Thank you already for the many congratulations we've received; Lee and I are thrilled.

There are many opportunities this November to give yourself some mental reprieve by visiting TraillWorks. We hope to see you and are ever so thankful for your continued readership!

Jennie Schaeffer
Sincerely,
Jennie Traill Schaeffer
