Newly Finished & Available
You may have been following my progress on the above two pieces on Facebook or Instagram, but I've not yet shared them in their entire completed state, until now. Two very different pieces, with very different concepts.

35, when I started it in 2013, maybe even in 2012 now as I think back, was a piece of great importance to me. I got it going while I had my former gallery / studio in Newton, soon before I made the decision to close, and my family relocated and I became pregnant with our second son. Suffice it to say, after I left Newton, this piece sat in my basement of our apartment for 6 months, then in my studio for probably about a year or two before I had the energy, time, and direction to continue the painting. I finally got back to this piece in full force in March, and have been working on it almost weekly since. I will write more about this piece in a forthcoming blog. While my life has changed greatly since this painting's inception, and there have been many moments where I wondered if I should just scrap it, I felt the need to resolve this work so that I can be free of it and move on. I'm relieved it is off my easel and really quite surprised and pleased by the result.

The painting is available for sale, but is awaiting notice of acceptance in a local juried show. If you are interested in the work, notify me immediately, and I will add you to a wait-list and alert you as soon as possible to its acceptance and means of purchasing the work.

South Orange Summer Nights is an original acrylic diptych that is now available for purchase. The work was created for a project that you will soon be seeing around South Orange, if you're in the area. I was asked by local designer, Rachel Zorel, on behalf of the Village of South Orange, to create the artwork, in kind, for the banner promoting South Orange Summer Nights, a program which runs from June through August featuring concerts and movies in Flood Hill Park. Any day now, you should be able to see the banner at Flood Hill. The theme of the art was drive in, so after looking at lots of vintage cars and photos of drive ins on Pinterest, the above painting is what resulted.

Due to the terms of this piece's creation, and it's soon to come public notoriety, I'd like to offer this for sale at a minimum asking price of $495 (unframed). If you're interested or know someone who may be, contact me with your offer. I will accept offers until midnight, June 1st.
