I want to take a minute to extend my gratitude to you. You might be new to my list or have been following me for years. Whichever the case, THANK YOU! In honor of the forthcoming
feast, here's a bit of eye candy for you. I hope there's a piece left for you of whatever pie your stomach desires. My favorite Thanksgiving pie is good old fashioned apple pie. This year, I baked mine with a combination of Empire, Braeburn and Cortland varieties, and by accident, used pastry flour for the dough, rather than all purpose. I will soon see what the results yield.
And, to wet your palate, here's my painting, "The Last
Piece on the Red Carpet", which was painted last year post-Thanksgiving, from the actual pie, for my Red Carpet series.
