Fall for Art: Classes are Now Enrolling |

Wow, the summer has
flown, and each year it truly goes by just a bit faster. I did find some ways to slow down and be present: taking the kids on hikes, trips to the town pool, staying up too late, visiting the Berkshires and Cape May, many bbqs with friends new and old, and making some artwork. I hope you've had a chance to wind down and reconnect with your creative self and the outdoors.
But now it's that time of year to wind back up again (shhh, not too soon). Many of you have wondering when art lessons are enrolling for the Fall. Well, your question has been answered. They are enrolling now.
In addition to the regular schedule of kids /
teens classes in my West Orange studio, and my adult watercolor classes in South Orange, I've added a new class and altered some of my pricing and schedule for the fall. Learn more below.

Kids Multimedia Art Class (ages 7 - 12) Tuesdays, 4 - 5pm beginning 9/13

Learn to replace the fear of making art with confidence to get back to creating. Through
JumpstART, Jennie will work with you to explore various approaches to 2-D art-making, with an emphasis in drawing and painting. Various media will be introduced and discovered throughout the session. No two artworks will be the same and students will be on their way to finding out what they love about making art.

Pricing Changes I have kept my prices consistent for almost five years now. After considering the growth in my lessons and a closer examination of my pricing structure, I've increased my private rates by 10% and slightly increased the weekly rate on my small group classes. This is the rate I charge if you can't commit to consecutive classes. I discount art
lessons purchased in consecutive packages, incrementally lowering by sets of 4 consecutive classes. While the small group prepaid tuition will remain the same, I felt the increase better accounts for the time I allocate for teaching, prepping, promoting and communicating about my lessons so that I can continue to provide you with the quality that you’ve come to love. Thursday? Feeling a little clutzy, not sure about watercolor, or want to get out and paint with some friends? This class is perfect for you. It's a one-night "Sip & Create" where you'll try your hand at Etegami, simple watercolor images that combine text and embrace clumsiness. There may still be a few spots left if you're interested in
coming out to South Orange's Work & Play from 7:30 - 9:30. We'll paint outside, weather permitting, and there's an option to bring your own supplies ($40) or have me purchase them for you ($50). Plus it's BYOB! Newbies and veteran painters are welcome. |
