Dear ,
The last thing you probably want to think of is snow, but I'm
a snowbird and absolutely love it. I grew up skiing and have raised my boys to enjoy getting outside on a bluebird snow day to play. We've had many this winter, so the snowy sledding hill at my son's elementary school has earned the subject of several new watercolors. They're now uploaded to my online store, celebrating the snow. And, as a subscriber, you can purchase them for free shipping or free local delivery thru Sunday! Use FREESHIPYAY at checkout. Plus, I'm donating 40% of
studio sales this month to an awesome cause. Please read more below on what I'm donating to and how to explore the new works.
And, there's so much more below, including the big reveal of my latest Wedding Cake Portrait, an invitation to a show opening tomorrow, and a
new blog post on The Teaching Artist. I hope I'll see you, hear from you, or join you in a creative endeavor soon.
Paint the Town Yellow TOMORROW |
OPENING RECEPTION: Tomorrow, Sunday, March 18th, 3 - 5pm at the Peg Williams Gallery, at Short Stories Community Bookstore & Community Hub, located at 23 Main Street in Madison,
NJ. Come support the Optimism movement and the color, INT-O Yellow to help shine a light on Depression, along with my new painting, "Jar of Optimism (Auggie)", seen above. It's a new direction for me that builds upon an older work painted last year for this same show. I'm thrilled with the result and can't wait to see it amongst a very vibrant
collection of works.

Art For a Cause - March Sales |
Charitable giving has always been top of mind for me. I've donated proceeds from my artwork yearly to various causes. In light of recent events at Parkland High School and the amount of
activism and conversation going on about gun control and mental health care, two topics I'm very concerned with, I've decided to donate 40% of my studio sales during the month of March to Sandy Hook Promise. Their mission is to "prevent gun-related deaths due to crime, suicide and accidental discharge so that no other parent experiences the senseless, horrific loss of their child." They accomplish this through a 4-pronged approach that grows a national movement, connects with communities, improves mental health programs, and advocates fro improved
policies at the state and federal level. Now is a great time to add a piece to your collection, knowing that a good portion of it is going to support a great cause.

Wedding Cake Portrait Revealed |
I'm thrilled to finally share the finished Wedding Cake Portrait that I've spent the better part of last year working on. It was a true labor of love. Many of you followed the process on Instagram and Facebook and I
truly appreciate all of your comments, likes, loves, and encouragement. My patrons are over the moon thrilled, telling me I surpassed their every expectation. Have you been considering commissioning one as a gift? They most often have been given as momentous Anniversary gifts. It also makes a fabulous Wedding Gift. The first patron to book a Wedding Cake Portrait for 2018 will enjoy a 10% size upgrade. Email me ASAP to be
the first. |
