Dear ,
Â
"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for." - Georgia O'Keeffe
Â
Writing was never a format that felt fluid to me - I've always struggled to write with ease. It's taken me years of getting over that fear and forcing myself to write to succeed in promoting my art.Â
Â
While it's now easier for me to write a newsletter, a blog, or an Instagram post, I still find more flow with paint. For me, seeing the world visually came much more naturally than being able to verbally describe it. As we move into the Spring season, the sun is starting to shine warmer,
my studio walls have some newfound space, and my easel is set up with a new painting.Â
Â
I hope you'll continue to join me on my creative journey whether you purchase work for your home in my Studio Sale, find your own flow by enrolling in my upcoming Spring Watercolor & More Class, or visit me at an upcoming Exhibit Opening or Closing.Â
Studio Sale ENDS March 17th
|
This is absolutely your last chance to get in on some great artwork at a very accessible price and help me increase my donation to the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris. I've extended the sale long past my original end date since it was so successful and I really wanted to clear out room for new work. I've started reorganizing my studio and creating new pieces, as well as working on some recently commissioned art. Follow along on Instagram as I post updated studio shots and progress work.
Â
The above are just an assortment of works included in the sale - prints, original woodcuts and etchings, watercolors, drawings, and oils. The sale pages will be taken down after the 17th and prices returned to full retail. You can read more about the sale and the charity I'm raising funds for in a recent blog post.Â
Â
THANK YOU to those of you who have already purchased!Â

And, congrats are in order to student, Marcia LeBeau, on her recent sale of this original watercolor which was created to accompany one of her poems. Marcia is currently exhibiting her original watercolors, alongside a collection of broadsides
which pair her poems and watercolors, at the Rectangle Gallery & Studio in Orange, NJ. The exhibit is still up, alongside poems by Mary Tautin Moloney.Â
The opening of the 3rd Annual Juried Show: Mixed Media at Bethlehem House Gallery was a hit. The gallery is beautiful and unique in that it is set up as a home. You really get a taste of the artwork in a realistic setting. If you missed it, you have another chance to meet me there for the CLOSING on March 30th from 6 - 9pm. Please email me if you intend to attend!Â
Auggie and two other pieces, all with a yellow dominant palette, will be included in next month's INSPIRING MINDS exhibit at Valley Arts in Orange, NJ. The exhibit shares the work of art educators teaching in Essex County. I'm thrilled to be exhibiting with them in a very important show. Join me at the Opening on
April 11th from 6 - 8pm. The show runs April 7th - May 4th.
