Dear ,
June is well on its way and boy has it been full. In the past two weeks I've done two outdoor shows; introduced my yoga mats with great reception; am working on lessons for the summer and planning ahead to fall; finished a large dog portrait commission; have a show opening in a week, and released note cards featuring my sons' school for graduation gifts.
And, now I'm prepping for the end of school, sending my son to sleep away camp for the first time, and exploring ways of gaining new opportunities for TraillWorks. If you know of anyone looking to buy art, commission a dog or wedding cake portrait, offer workshops in art making where there is a wellness component, retail yoga mats (wholesale opportunities), or has exhibition opportunities please share
this email with them or contact me.
I'm in a period of growth and need your help to continue growing and expanding my reach. You have been integral in my development as an artist and to remain committed to this vocation. For this I am forever grateful - as I've always said, my work loses some of its meaning if it's hidden in a closet or stored away in my studio. Thank you for allowing collecting my work and enrolling in art lesson -
you have fulfilled me.
Summer Classes Start Next Week
|
SUMMER WATERCOLOR CLASSES begin next week. By now your summers are likely scheduled, but have you made time for you? I'm looking forward to sitting under the canopy near the Rahway River to guide my students in learning how to
see color, compose a painting, and understand space in my Watercolor in the Reservation class on Tuesday mornings. On Wednesday evenings we'll be breaking out some easels, using our timers, and really limiting what we
paint to the bare essentials to improve your efficiency and fluency in Loosening up in Watercolor, held at Oh Canary in Maplewood.
Will you be joining me?
Yoga Mats - A Testimonial
|
THANK YOU - I've sold several yoga mats thus far and have an order coming in this week. As of now, I will have three available in inventory once they arrive.
If you're not sure about purchasing one - here's feedback from my first customer, Marcia LeBeau, before she got one in her hands:
"I love the yoga mat and of course need to buy one immediately. I know it will bring even more joy to my yoga practice."
And, her feedback after:
"I want to do yoga all the time now!"
$55 / each - tax and shipping extra, if applicable
Contact me about wholesaling opportunities.
Cold Season coasters feature an abstracted watercolor painting of geysers from Yellowstone layered over salvaged packaging from Yogi teas. Mix yourself a tonic of choice; then sip, set down, and
enjoy a restorative moment with these coasters. These make a great housewarming or host / hostess gift.
$20 / 4 coasters - tax and shipping extra, if applicable
TeaScapes - Pricing Goes Up in July
|
"Marshmallow Train" is aptly named for the pinkish color of the train which reminds me of candy, fun, and sweetness, along with the ingredient of marshmallow root in the throat coat tea by Traditional Medicinals. It's one of
my go-to teas when I have a cold. This train was sighted on the rails at the Heber Valley Railroad, located in Utah. It also brings such good memories because we planned for almost a year to take the Heber Valley Railroad with my boys while
in Utah, and added in an impromptu visit and meeting with local artist, Katrina Berg. On the way to the train, we mistimed the departure time and arrived just after the train left. Fortunately, we were able to reschedule to a later train that
evening, and got to meet Katrina and her family. One of the best memories of our vacation.
This TeaScape is currently listed at $225 unframed and $275 framed. Add one or more to your collection before I increase their prices in July.
Commissions Went to the Dogs
|
Dogs have been on my easel for the past three months. I'm thrilled to share that they are completed, and I appreciate your feedback and glowing responses to them. I would love an opportunity to do a dog portrait for you - and
I've made it easy for you to commission one right on my store page. There are a limited number of dimensions available in oil for you to purchase directly. Or you can contact me to discuss more options, such as a drawing, a watercolor, or various sizes. You also have the option to put a deposit down. I'm going to be filling my commission schedule soon for the summer and increasing my commission rates, so get in now.
