Hi there ,
September has come and gone and you have been on my mind, even if I haven't sent you a message. I was well on my way to a groove once the kids started school at the end of August, and then wham, my youngest tested positive for Covid after Labor Day weekend. I'm happy to report that he is fully recovered and none of the family got sick. But, boy, that two
weeks of quarantine stopped us all in our tracks.
Despite the setback, I've been very hard at work over the past month and a half, getting my business established in Durham, applying to shows, working on a commission, getting some creative juices warmed up and renovating my studio.
So, here's the summary, short and sweet:
- I'm exhibiting in the Durham Art Walk Holiday Market 🎁
- I'm Officially registered as an LLC in NC 📜
- My Online Store has reopened - taking orders all over the U.S. 🛍
- I'm almost done with a Dog Portrait (can't share yet) 🐶
- I've been actively Sketching every week 🎨
- My Studio carpet has been ripped up and flooring is in shipment 📦
- I'm upgrading my technology - new iPad and iMac coming in November and updated my web site. 🖥
- I'm booking private art coaching sessions. 🖌
It's a lot. I know. But, the reality is, I've been able to do this all slowly, at a good pace. Below you can check out the details on each. Again - it's a lot. Any questions, feel free to connect with me via email or send me a text - 973-271-9104. Or find me on Instagram. As always, I'm grateful for your presence here.

I asked for feedback on Instagram about various flooring options, and well, here's the winner! I've ordered Ascent vinyl plank in Erie by Finesse Floors. It's a bit cooler in color than appears in the photo - hopefully brightening up the space significantly. This was one of the options many of you selected. Thanks
for the help! I just recently invited viewers on Instagram into my studio to show updates, if you missed it, you can watch through the link.

I'm considering adding a new Yoga Mat Design from the above options and I'd love your opinion. Please weigh in by Friday, 11:59pm EST, with your favorite mat choice. I'm also going to share this poll in Instagram. With either / both entries, you'll get a chance to win a giveaway of a weekender bag that matches
one of my existing yoga mat designs. All you have to do is answer the poll here, and if you want an added chance to win - participate on Instagram as well (after 7pm tonight). All of the
rules are detailed in the my new blog post.

I've been making the most of all of the driving I'm doing now that we are in the South and my son is involved in mountain biking and rock climbing. In order to get to a group's trail rides, we have to drive 30 minutes to Chapel Hill. Rather than dropping him, driving home, and going back, I'm sticking around the
forest and either running, hiking and then painting. Sometimes the paintings have been longer sessions, others have been just enough time to put the brush to paper to capture a memory. I've also been exploring the Eno River, which is a mile or so from our house - with ample trails, watering holes, wildlife - it will provide endless ideas. These are just some of the paintings from my sketchbook since moving here. You can flip through the sketchbook with me on Instagram.

Now Taking Commissions for the Holidays
My online shop is back up and running, and updated for NC taxes. The good news - if you're back in the northeast, or anywhere outside of NC, you're tax exempt. I have a limited number of slots for Mini Dog Portraits for delivery by Christmas.
PLEASE NOTE: delivery carriers are expecting big delays. I've seen this in products I've ordered for myself. So, if you want to make sure it arrives for Christmas, book a commission by 10/31. After that point, I cannot guarantee finish / delivery for Christmas. I will not be taking oil painting commissions at this point for guaranteed Christmas delivery - I won't have the time to finish, dry, and deliver by
Christmas. If you're willing to extend the deadline into 2022, by all means, order away!

See you at the Durham Art Walk: Holiday Market
I know if you're on my list, it's likely I won't see you at this show, but I wanted to share it with you because it's my first exhibit opportunity and acceptance since moving to Durham in July! I'm 1 for 2. I'll take that. But - fear not. My online shop is open. At the moment, inventory is based on what is left from my Y(ART)D Show in June. It may change in the next month as I pull work for this show. Browse early, again, because shipping may prove to be riddled with delays.
