Hi there , The holiday season is around the corner - or here already if you are eager. My next door neighbor is already decorated for Christmas! I know - that's not me. We have a firm rule - honor Thanksgiving first. But, then it seems to be a mad dash
to prep for Christmas and Hanukkah. Oh, and don't forget several birthdays and an anniversary in the mix - my 45th and 18 years of marriage! And, since we've relocated to NC from NJ, our time at home is constrained. Knowing that, my shipping schedule and order fulfillment for the holidays will be shortened to allow time for travel to see those we love. Despite my desire to slow down, the art markets aren't waiting, and I applied to two shows in the Durham area where I will be exhibiting. I know most of you aren't in NC, as you've been following me since NJ. For those in NC, please consider
adding one of my upcoming shows to your list of destinations, and if you're afar - please reach out via email, phone, and know that you can easily SHOP ONLINE. The deadline for custom work is around the corner. If this year, you're not in the market for art, that's ok! Wherever you are, I'm wishing you a peaceful, joyful and mindful holiday
season. Creatively,
November 19th - 20th: Durham Art Market
On November 19th - 20th you'll find me among 50 other local artists displaying during the annual Durham Art Walk Holiday Market. Hosted by the Durham Arts Council, this is an event with original art, fine crafts, live music and food. Artists will be exhibiting in booths outside of the Durham Arts Council, at 120 Morris
Street, Durham, as well as inside the building around the galleries. You'll find me outside, not too far from the live music. Check out this beautiful interactive guide to find me, and other artists of interest. LOCATION: 120 Morris Street, Durham, NC HOURS: Saturday, 10 - 5pm; Sunday, 1 - 5pm
December 3rd: Makers of the Mill
I was just notified of my acceptance in this show featuring fine art and
crafts by Orange County and surrounding Triangle artists, and I will be getting more info this weekend on details. It's hosted by the Orange County Arts Commission and the Orange County Arts Alliance, located at the Eno Arts Mill (a multipurpose arts space that
opened in October, 2021 which includes a gallery, classroom, and 17 artist studios). In addition to the show vendors, the event will feature open Eno Arts Mill Artist Studios, the Orange County Artists Guild Deck the Walls Holiday Show in the gallery, live music, and more. For those outside of NC, Orange county is the home of Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough is a neighboring small town that was first home to an American Indian tribe, the Occaneechi, now part of the Saponi Nation, and then grew into the town of Orange, and renamed Hillsborough in 1766. It was both a
crossing point of the Great Indian Trading Path and a seat of American Revolutionary political activity. LOCATION: Eno Arts Mill 437 Dimmocks Mill Road, Hillsborough, NC, 27278 HOURS: Saturday, December 3rd, 10 - 5pm |

In the Meantime, Commission is Progressing
The final version of the concept has been redrawn on the wood panel, and I've started playing around with some gold leafing that might be added to the painting. More to come soon! You can always catch updates on Instagram as I post them. Questions? Email me.
Did you Know I Keep a Blog?
It's been ongoing since I started TraillWorks, and I periodically post deeper insights into my work. Most recently, I wrote about my upcoming art market, with much more in depth content about the show, what I'll be offering, and my experiences the prior
year.
