Hi there , As we approach
the season of gratitude, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to you, whether you've been part of my journey for a decade or just joined in. Your trust in inviting me into your inbox means the world, and I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share more about my art, thoughts, and exciting opportunities with you. This year has been a rollercoaster, filled with challenges that have led to profound growth. In the words of Thich Nhat Hanh, "No Mud, No Lotus." Through the difficulties, clarity emerges, and I've been embracing the transformative power of suffering. Layers have been
shed, focus has shifted, and amidst the journey of rest, meditation, therapy, and support, both from family and doctors, there's been immense learning through research and art-making. In this unknown space, I'm cooking up something special for you, including a virtual open studio on December 2nd, limited virtual comp coaching sessions (yes, comp!), and a virtual watercolor boot camp this winter. Plus, I'm excited to share a unique video presentation from a recent Crit Crew session, offering a fantastic peek into the evolution of my work. And who knows, there might be more surprises that
slipped my mind! I understand this week might be bustling with Thanksgiving preparations or travel plans.
So, I encourage you to take your time with this newsletter. Come back to it when you can, sit with it, and explore the exciting developments at your own pace. Wherever Thanksgiving takes you this year, may you sit in comfort and
warmth.
VIRTUAL OPEN STUDIO: 12/2
On Saturday, December 2nd, from 3 - 5pm, I'm inviting you to attend my open studio from near or far. THE BEST PART - it's VIRTUAL, which means you can join from
anywhere! I'm doing this because it's been a year, and the only way I can see giving you the opportunity to see my work before the end of the year, is this format.
I invite you to come festively, with an open curiosity to chat with me about my work, see and collect available work, ask questions, and connect with other TraillWorks' loving people! I've got some good ones. You're all so
important to me.
AND, I'll be sharing an announcement about Winter art learning opportunities during the event. Please let me know you're joining us! A Zoom link will go out to all subscribers who RSVP here on the morning of 12/2. If you can't make it on the 2nd at that time, and would like to schedule a separate Zoom session, send me an email. YES, I'M IN FOR THE OPEN STUDIO!
SIGN UP FOR A COACHING CALL
Through December 15th, I'm opening up 30-minute complimentary art coaching calls as my gift to you! I've never done this before, so I'm giving it a
whirl. Are you immersed in an artwork, grappling with technical questions or seeking guidance on
its direction? Perhaps you're navigating inquiries about your art business or studio. Whether crafting a portfolio for art school or supporting a teen's artistic journey, I'm here to help. Come with a clear need in mind and we'll start there! Check out my Calendly page and select from my available time slots. December 15th will be the final day I offer this opportunity and it's only available to subscribers!
Developed for a Crit Crew presentation for feedback from mentor, Lauren Salazar, and visiting artist, Camille
Warmington, I speak about artwork in progress from Fall 2023, and the roots of my consideration of chairs as the main subject matter. Crit Crew is a support group organized and offered through Thrive Together Network, and is an opportunity to ask for feedback and direction as an artist. While geared towards getting artist support, it's a really great opportunity to learn more about my thoughts and development.
