The above piece was finished in record timing using Jennie's new favorite medium, eggshells! "Cooking Up A Pearl", marks a transition in Jennie's work combining old and new subject matter. This piece, along with 13 other Schaeffer originals, are currently on exhibit at Krave Cafe and Caterers through April 19th. Krave is located at 102 Sparta Ave. in Newton, NJ and specializes in New American Cuisine.
Top Secret Feature Article and Other News
Jennie is very excited about an upcoming full-length feature article currently in writing. At this time we are unable to disclose any details, except that it will publish in April.
And in other news, TraillWorks was just notified of its nomination for a Tourism Award by the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce. Jennie is flattered by the recognition. Awards will be given at the chamber's annual dinner at the end of the month.
So much new work has been created by TraillWorks' students that we're having a hard time keeping up with sharing it all with you! Many of my students have been working in ceramics and watercolors. Below
are a few examples of the works they've done. But, for a real treat, visit the gallery this month for our annual student show where you'll have a chance to see, in person, the talent in our students.
Continue to the Student Work album to view all their creativity.

Some Spaces Available for
Spring Art Lessons
If you missed signing up for winter lessons, we still have openings for the Spring. There are two spaces in our Thursday 4pm group (Age 7 - 12); there's interest in forming a Friday afternoon lesson for young children (Age 5 - 6); and as adult lessons have become more popular, there are now only 2 spaces in our 9am Saturday lesson. If any of these interest you, please give us a call - 973-383-1307.
Jennie to Teach at Teen Arts
On March 20th, Jennie will be leading talented teens from area high schools in a drawing workshop for Sussex County Community College's Teen Arts festival. Each year the college celebrates the talent creativity of 7th - 12th grade students through special exhibits and performances. Those students selected to participate spend the day taking workshops with professional artists. Jennie is planning a session inspired by the recent de Kooning retrospective at the MOMA. She looks forward to working with these special students.
