The submissions have been made and a final design chosen! If you've been following the design for the St. Jo's mural over the past year, she's made progress. Jennie hopes to begin transferring the mural to the walls of St. Joseph's school in the next few weeks. To see more detailed sketches of the windows check out our Facebook page.

    4th Annual Student Show Recap

Miles Shaw and his prize winning snack

The Fourth Annual Student Exhibit was a great hit! TraillWorks would like to thank all the students, and their supporters, for participating and making the evening the success that it was. The NJ Herald even  sent a photographer - TraillWorks got an amazing photo spread in March 12th's paper.

Participating students also had to submit artistically-presented snacks for the reception. The submissions were outstanding this year and twice we had to break a tie for the winners. We are pleased to announce, 1st place went to Miles Shaw (above) for his tree cake, depicting a watercolor he created; 2nd place went to Will Somma for his Picasso-inspired self-portrait cake; 3rd place went to Carin Cali for her flowers in the grass fruit tray; and a prize was awarded to Amanda Canova for voting in the contest.

    "Handala" Workshop with Ron Hornung
    Sunday May 6th | 10am - 3pm

Lunch provided by TraillWorks from Krave Cafe and Caterers

    Student "Handala" in progress

    Workshop Description:

Grow your creativity with TraillWorks and join us for a "Handala" workshop instructed by Ron Hornung.

This workshop will take a more humble, lighthearted approach to constructing "universes". Suitable for every level of artistic ability, this workshop aims to help participants discover patterns, relationships and unforeseen meanings in their own mandalas created by hand-tracings, a "handala". A mandala is a representation of the universe, chiefly characterized by circular configuration of geometric shapes. Because of the sophisticated arrangement of elements they are also useful in meditation.

    Workshop Fees:

    Material Fee: $10
Early bird registration (until midnight on April 8th): $125, use discount code EarlyBird
    Registration after April 8th: $135
Deadline is midnight on April 29th

Get a taste for this workshop during our exhibit, Growth, Renewal & Change, opening on April 21st when Ron will guide attendees in the creation of a FREE communal "Handala". Ron will also be offering a follow-up workshop at TraillWorks in June called "Growing A Painting".
